Varsity Tutors is the only name you need to know if you're interested in taking your Milwaukee NCLEX preparation to a whole new level. If you'd like to study in a structured learning environment, we provide a comprehensive Milwaukee NCLEX prep course where you can review all of the academic concepts and test-taking strategies you'll need on exam day. Or, we can find you a private Milwaukee NCLEX tutor in as little as 24 hours who can provide individualized instruction as you prepare for test day. Both are great ways for students to study, and some students choose to take advantage of both services for a well-rounded test prep experience.
The NCLEX is a high-stakes examination developed and administered by the NCSBN in order to help Nursing Regulatory Bodies assess whether entry-level nurses have the knowledge and practical skills necessary for their chosen career. There are actually two different NCLEX tests: the NCLEX-PN for Practical or Vocational Nurses and the NCLEX-RN for Registered Nurses. No matter which of these exams you might be preparing for, Varsity Tutors can equip you with the tools you need to pursue success.
What topics does my Milwaukee NCLEX prep need to cover?
There is a lot of content overlap between the two NCLEX tests, so you'll want to cover subjects such as infection control, patient comfort, basic pharmacology, physiological integrity, and psychosocial integrity regardless of the test you're studying for. NCLEX-RN test-takers might also want to review parenteral therapies, while those studying for the NCLEX-PN should study coordinated care instead. Some test items also incorporate graphs, audio, or video, so you should be prepared to work with a variety of different sources of information.
You might also wish to review NCLEX formatting during your standardized test prep. Both tests are CAT, which means "Computerized-Adaptive Testing." It sounds fancy, but it just means that the exam is computer-based with a system that selects items according to your previous answers. This could hurt your self-confidence, as multiple easy questions in a row could leave you second-guessing your prior responses. Your instructor can show you mindfulness techniques to make it easier to focus on the item in front of you if you start to get distracted.
What advantages does each of the Milwaukee NCLEX prep options provide?
We can either enroll you in an online Milwaukee NCLEX prep class or find you a private instructor as you work toward your goals. If you choose a class, you'll attend regular class meetings on our proprietary Live Learning Platform. Your instructor will lead the discussion just like a more traditional classroom environment, giving your test prep a clearly defined structure. Features like video chat also allow you to see and hear everyone else in the virtual room, so asking for help is as simple as raising your hand.
Some students see sharing their classroom as a disadvantage, only to eventually discover that the resulting collaborative learning environment makes it easier to understand key concepts. For instance, you can try teaching a challenging concept to one of your peers in an effort to enhance both of your understandings. Your instructor may also assign group projects to expose you to a variety of ways of thinking about the healthcare industry. Studying in a group also gives you more value for your hard-earned money.
If you would prefer to study at your own pace, we can find you an instructor willing to meet with you online or in person. If you study online, our Live Learning Platform delivers a face-to-face study experience without the headache of sitting in traffic. Alternatively, in-person meetings can take place at Milwaukee Area Technical College, the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, or even a favorite restaurant. Either way, you're in complete control over when your sessions take place to mitigate any adverse effects on your schedule.
Working with a private instructor also allows you to study at your preferred pace. If you find infection control simple, your instructor can gloss over it to keep study sessions engaging. Likewise, you're not tied to any set curriculum. If you need to spend more time on a given topic than you initially thought, your instructor can adapt your study sessions in real time to accommodate your needs.

I am a certified family nurse practitioner who started out as an attendant and worked my way up through the field. I understand that where you start does not determine where you will finish. It takes a wise and strong individual to ask for help. The greatest mishandling of such requests is to view this as an inadequacy and fail to recognize the ability to be of service to others.
