I am a 2020 graduate of Northwestern University with a BA in Cognitive Science and Linguistics. I have previously tutored at Mathnasium, and during my senior year at NU I was a tutor for student-athletes on campus. I greatly enjoy helping others learn and seeing the accomplishment on their faces when a concept we've been working on finally clicks.

I'm an incoming Junior at Northwestern University with a double-major in Statistics and Organizational Change. Through my previous work as a math tutor, camp counselor, and current Peer Adviser (orientation leader), I've developed a passion for helping others achieve their goals, especially in academic settings.

I am a senior at Northwestern University pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Economics. I have a lot of experience teaching others. I worked as a Sunday school teacher's assistant for five years, where I taught children to read and write in Hebrew. I also worked at a summer camp for three years during high school, teaching kids anything from how to swim to how to shoot a bow and arrow. I was a babysitter for four years, usually with the stipulation that I go through homework after school with kids I babysat. At school, I've tutored struggling peers in economic theory and Spanish. More recently, I worked in Spain as an English teacher for Catalan children ranging from six to fifteen years of age. Finally, I'm an older brother. I taught my little brother everything I know, whether it be how to ride a bike or how to solve differential equations in calculus (he's better than me now).

I am dedicated to helping students understand not only the material of their subjects but strategies for answering questions of all types. I find it extremely helpful and important for the success of a student to focus on the intricacies of test taking or writing, such as proper use of the process of elimination with multiple choice questions, deep understanding of question syntax, and ways to formulate written answers, essays and papers that emphasize what the student knows and minimizes what the student doesn't know or isn't relevant to the subject at hand. I also facilitate a student's meaningful absorption of the material in the following ways: verbal expression of both the student's and my own thought processes, repetition of (novel) questions in areas that are difficult for the student and the monitoring of progress through correctly answered questions and the student's ability to explain why certain answers, thought processes or writing methods are either correct or incorrect. Finally, I possess great patience with students of all ages and hope to make the tutoring experience as smooth and as helpful as possible for them!

I am currently a senior at Northwestern University and I will be receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Legal Studies this spring. In the fall, I will begin attending law school at Northwestern Law. For many years, I tutored a wide range of students in Spanish, English literature, and writing. I have also continued to help many high school seniors with college application essays. While I tutor a variety of subjects, I am very passionate about helping students improve their reading and writing skills, and I really enjoy helping students with Critical Reading and Writing portions of Standardized Tests. I love working with students and helping them realize their full academic potential. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, exploring Chicago, reading, and cooking.
