About Me

Born and raised in New York City, I have always had a deep passion for the humanities. I graduated from Oberlin College this May with a B.A. in History and Minors in Politics and French. From a young age I have been deeply interested in history -- particularly the Medieval and Early Modern periods, French language and culture, political theory, and geography. I also follow international events very closely. I see these subjects as different facets of the great story of human history. It is impossible to truly understand the modern world without a grasp of centuries of history as well as the political theories that inform our view of society. Furthermore the history of a culture is written in its language. Without a knowledge of geography there is no way to contextualize any of this. I want to become a tutor because I wish to spread my knowledge and passion of these subjects to other people. I would love the opportunity to show others why these topics, which people sometimes disregard or are bored by, are in fact fascinating, dramatic and beautiful.
