About Me

I have been a math tutor for more than 30 years. I have a Bachelor's degree from UC Berkeley in Applied Mathematics. More importantly, I truly enjoy helping students to understand math concepts. I know there are numerous methods to solve any math problem. Students are different, and I work with each student to find the teaching method with which they are most comfortable. In addition to my experience as a math tutor, I now teach seminars that guide students in preparing for the SAT and the ACT. Specifically, I show students all of the following: 1. All of the different types of questions on the exam and how to answer each one. 2. Strategies to stay on pace during the exam. 3. Different trick questions on every college prep exam and strategies to get these questions right. 4. Finally, I ensure that each student knows where to focus their efforts to improve their score as much as possible. In conclusion, I give any student the ability to improve their score on any portion of the SAT or ACT with my tutoring combined with hard work studying and preparing for the exam.
