About Me

I am will be graduating at the end of this year with my Bachelor's of Art in Political Science with a minor in Computer Science and Engineering from The Ohio State University. I graduated from Cuyahoga Community College Cum Laude with an Associate of Science. I will begin my dual Masters in Mathematics and Education in the fall 0f 2023. I have been working with the CAMHP Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio for the last six years, of which I have worked with at-risk youth through tutoring and academic engagement grades 2nd - 7th. I thoroughly enjoy teaching political science and mathematics to my students! The main goal of helping my students see that math does not have to be a chore or a subject to be scared of; math is fun! It's about explaining and teaching math in a way that is enjoyable for them rather than something negative. Once they are able to enjoy math, or to be less frightened of it, it becomes an easier subject to do on a day-to-day basis. It is not about "tackling" it, it's about being positive and removing the negative association mathematics tends to carry in students, so they are able to excel into higher levels of math with confidence! Political science follows the same venture; I help my students see the value in knowing history and how it is applied to the world we live in today through elections, public policy, advocacy, and the economy. It is more than just memorizing dates, names, and events; it is understanding the importance of these events and how we as a society today can learn from them for future generations in a way that is evaluative, allows for critical thinking, and constructive forethought. The importance of education, knowledge, and confidence are the three keys for students to obtain and hold on to as they continue on in life. If I am able to aid in these goals, I am truly honored, for their successes are my successes!
