About Me

Hello! I'm currently a junior at the University of South Florida, pursuing the pre-med track with a major in Biomedical Sciences and a minor in Astronomy. My journey into education began in high school, where I diligently worked with tutors to excel in mathematics. Now, as an undergrad, I'm excited to share my insights and knowledge with others! When I'm teaching, I always remember what it feels like to be a student in need of guidance from a tutor. My approach emphasizes active engagement by collaborating with students, whether it's writing on the whiteboard or working together to solve practice problems. For subjects that demand a deeper comprehension of particular processes or topics, I encourage students to articulate the content in their own words. Then, I ask them to repeat it back to me, ensuring they've grasped the concepts. My undergrad studies have taught me a valuable lesson: teaching learned information to someone else, whether it is a friend, myself, or even a wall helps me commit the content to long-term memory. It's a technique that's allowed me to identify and address gaps in my knowledge and refine my study strategies as needed. I'm looking forward to sharing these insights with my students, guiding them towards success in their courses. I've tutored in subjects such as Cell Biology, IB Math Applications and Interpretations, as well as elementary-level Math and English. Having successfully completed courses like Cell Biology, Biology 1 Cellular Processes, Statistics, and other major science and math courses within the past two years, I'm eager to share my insights and tips with fellow students. Together, we can achieve success in both high school and undergraduate courses!
