About Me

As a passionate educator with almost 3 decades of teaching experience, I hold a Master's degree in History from West Chester University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor's in Secondary Education - Social Studies from the Pennsylvania State University. I specialize in AP Human Geography, AP Comparative Government and Politics, AP European History, AP World History and IB Philosophy, alongside general high and middle school social studies curriculum. My teaching philosophy centers on personalizing learning to meet each student's unique needs, utilizing a blend of the Socratic method and diagnostic assessments to identify student strengths and weaknesses. I am dedicated to fostering critical thinking and engaging discussions, particularly in my IB Philosophy course, where I guide students through complex ideas and encourage them to form their own arguments. Outside the classroom, I enjoy gardening, basketball, reading, writing, and serving as an advisor for the high school Dungeons and Dragons Club, which helps cultivate creativity and teamwork among students. I look forward to helping students succeed with their educational goals and discover their potential!
