About Me
I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Loyola University Chicago with a B.S. in Biology in May 2013. My tutor experience ranges over five years total. My job entailed facilitating collaborative learning groups that allowed students to discuss topics, problem solve and overcome academic difficulties. I like to serve as a guide to fill in missing information to help the student realize the answers. They have all the knowledge they need, it is just a matter of discovering the best way for them to study and comprehend it. I love to see my tutees be successful and go above and beyond to develop sessions around his or her needs and learning styles. During my tutor role at Loyola, I was also a Tutor Lead who developed training workshops for fellow tutors on subjects such as time management and study skill tips. Additionally, while at Loyola, I participated in undergraduate research working with the Malaria parasite. I was a member and served as the Vice President of the Panhellenic sorority Alpha Sigma Alpha. Currently, I am taking classes part time at UW- Milwaukee to complete a teaching certification and Master's Degree program in Secondary Education Curriculum and Instruction for Science. My current goals are to become a high school science teacher and continue to positively impact the lives of students.
