When you work with me, you'll be taking advantage of my fourteen years of experience as an educator, including over six years as a tutor. And you'll be working with a certified teacher who has professional experience with students of all ages, as well as diverse ethnic, cultural, educational, and socioeconomic backgrounds - from elementary school children in underserved communities to international professionals and their families. My education and outside professional experience will also benefit your learning progress. In 2007, I earned my Multiple Subjects (K-8) Certification from California State University, Monterey Bay, a university that stressed outcome-based education. More recently, I worked as an adult educator for Southwest Solutions' Early Childhood and Family Literacy Center; in that position, I helped adults learn how to learn and how to help their children progress academically. Additionally, I have significant professional experience as a writer and editor.
