I am a graduate of Saint Louis University, where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Psychology. I also received a Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology from Marquette University in 2013. Since graduation, I have worked as an elementary speech pathologist (SLP) for Milwaukee Public Schools. As a SLP, I have found a profession which combines my desire to make a difference in people's lives with my love of learning and my interest in working with children. With my background in communication sciences and disorders and speech pathology, I have a great knowledge base of English, grammar, vocabulary and phonics. I also am very passionate about math. As a child, I struggled in math class, but after receiving tutoring, math became my favorite subject! I use a multi-sensory approach to tutoring by including visuals, drawings and manipulatives in my lessons in order to help my students gain a deeper, more concrete understanding of the subject. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, crafting, reading, and volunteering.
