Ive learned that there are different types of intelligence as well as different types of learning. In order to be an effective educator, it is important to establish a relationship with the pupil to utilize the pupils learning style. Moments from being a summer school teacher for 4th-6th graders and a resident assistant for 2 years, fuel my passion for teaching. The joy on the students faces when they achieve a goal or the gratefulness they express for my help stay with me to this day. By working with Varsity Tutors I hope to apply what Ive learned as well as gain more field experience. I recently came to DC from California to do an internship with the Department of State.
