This has helped me understand that memorizing textbooks is not all to it learning, but it is the way of breaking down concepts and integrating it into applicable situations. I want to not only help students learn their desired material, but also to internalize it. I was born in Tokyo, Japan and moved to Honolulu, Hawaii gaining a deep understanding of both cultures. I am bilingual and can read, write, and speak Japanese at high business level. Even now, I constantly study the language because of how complex it is. I am also comfortable and confident in teaching K-12 subjects in math and also introductory college business courses such as financial accounting and introduction to business. I previously tutored math and Japanese in high school and had great time seeing their progression each week. On my downtime, I enjoy hiking the steep mountains of Oahu and body surfing in the warm waters that Hawaii has to offer. I also get quite heated in a game of chess..I look forward to helping you along the way in achieving your academic desires.
