About Me

I'm a native Texan. I attended Sam Houston State University and have taught public and private schools for many years. I have taught junior high TX History, Reading and English including Dyslexia students too. Plus, I have taught high school level Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Reading and English. For the younger students, I have taught English, phonics, math, and Writing to Chinese children online. Some of my strengths include organization, study skills and reading comprehension. I love to learn new things, read, travel, meeting new people and spending time with my family, especially at the beach. In addition to teaching, I have experience helping others with financial services including planning, budgeting, saving, investments and insurance needs. I have mentored others in business, education and personal development, too if that is an area of need. For online tutoring, I am available most days including mornings and evenings. For in person tutoring, I'm available daytime during weekdays plus Saturdays and afternoon on Sundays. When it comes to you and your student, I put having a quality education into all the personal attention needed to be successful in school and beyond.
