About Me
During my medical career, Ihope to teach, in addition to practicing in a clinical setting, as I served as a TA and tutorfor 3 years in college and get a lot of satisfaction out of helping students understandcomplex concepts. Although I have been successful in hard science classes throughoutmy education, I have struggled with the complex material and leaned on professors andpeers to help me understand. Thus, I believe that in order to truly understand somethingit's natural to struggle, otherwise you are simply memorizing which isn't helpful in thelong run. Because of this, I like to meet students where they are at and work with themto increase their understanding rather than lecturing at them. I do this by relatingabstract concepts to real life application. Biology lends itself to this type of application, which is why it's my favorite subject to tutor. However, I also enjoy tutoring students inBiochemistry, Chemistry, and all sections of the MCAT as well as the STEP 1 and STEP2 USMLE board exams. Outside of academia, I enjoy running, kayaking, biking, cooking, and spending time with my friends.
