Having met stages one and two of Wesleyan's general education requirements, I have excelled in humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences so am able to provide assistance in a wide variety of subjects. Having peer-reviewed many papers in university, I am especially adept at workshopping essays in various departments (including philosophy, literature, psychology, history, and sociology). I also have experience tutoring high school math (geometry, algebra, pre-calculus) and am willing to tutor younger students as well. I am highly adaptable to the needs of the student and am quite good at adapting my style and vocabulary to who I am interacting with. Ultimately, my goal is to have the student be able to teach the material to me in a cogent manner. I accomplish this in part by asking the right questions rather than simply giving answers. I have experience working with non-native English speakers so have grown accustomed to speaking in ways that others can understand. Outside of academia I enjoy reading books, watching films, singing, playing the piano and guitar, getting exercise, and going to Maine. My passions are acting and Russian literature.

My interests include film, television, music, art, interior design, international relations, football, basketball, Russian literature, Czech literature, modernist literature, and Confucian philosophy.
