- I *love* to help people achieve *their* dreams.
About Me
Math and science courses pose challenges for some as they pursue those dreams. I tutor math and science (specifically chemistry and physics) to help people overcome those challenges and thrive. I strive to understand a student's perspective and then utilize hands on demonstrations and activities to help *you* learn the material the way that makes sense to *you*. I am recently retired from Ohio University where I was a full time professor of physics. In addition, I have taught high school math and science, organize and mentor for Science Day and Science Olympiad, and was coach for the Math Counts program at my local middle school. My education includes a Masters in Science from Michigan State and a Ph.D. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. I tutor a broad range of subjects but am most passionate about physics (AP, IB, and regular), astronomy, calculus (AP and regular), and algebra/trigonometry. I firmly believe in the power of education to change lives and believe that I can help anyone learn.
