In terms of teaching experience, I tutored Organic Chemistry at the Math and Science Learning Center at UIC and taught Arabic and STEM courses to young students privately. In the past I've been a helping aid to teachers who taught in the ESL program where I worked with students to strengthen their Reading, Writing, and Mathematics skills. In my experience helping college students with Organic Chemistry, expressing complex ideas in a couple sentences or diagrams is the most rewarding part of my work since it yields the most excited responses. I am a firm believer in the 'growth mindset,' where a topic deemed difficult is one that will become easy with practice and understanding. For me, the sentence "I don't understand this," is incomplete without a "yet." Overall, I am passionate about helping students achieve the understanding and grades they are capable of.

In my spare time, I enjoy planting, watching crime shows, and trying new cuisine.
