My scholarship to college was in Speech, as is my Bachelor's degree. Since then, I taught junior achievement, and ran computer training centers for the now defunct CompUSA. My students will benefit from a deep knowledge of public speaking, knowing how to train and coach, and how to do business presentations. On the business side, I sold my last restaurant due to Covid, and split my time tutoring, writing food related content and doing recipe design. As an owner and in other jobs, I have interviewed hundreds of people and seen many resumes. Staying current, I can share the STAR approach for interview prep with my students, along with all my additional experience. My solid writing skills also make me very qualified for resume writing and direction. I raised two children, one on the autistic spectrum, volunteering in their classes throughout elementary school. My young students will enjoy the rapport I will develop, and efforts to explore their own interests as tools for better instruction.
