About Me
Hi! My undergraduate degree is in biology. I worked as a clinical assistant for almost 2 years and went on to complete my Master's in Medical Sciences with focus on microbiology and immunology from the University of South Florida. I worked in research in Brazil in neuroimmunology and also completed my medical degree there in 2019. I plan to pursue my residency in pediatric neurology and I'm currently preparing for that. Teaching has always been a part of my life. I started teaching English as a second language as a volunteer in my parish when I was 16 and then got paid positions in different English schools. I taught science to middle school students as part of a nonprofit organization in Boston and also to high school students as part of a forum on medicine. I also taught science to elementary students in a bilingual Canadian school in Brazil. I was a teacher's assistant/tutor for two years in medical school in both anatomy and pathology. Students have unique needs. Thus, I have learned to adapt my teaching/tutoring methods well to fulfill these. My passion for teaching is undeniable. I believe there is nothing a motivated and determined student cannot do. I'm here to propel that learning process.
