About Me

I am currently pursuing my MFA at the University of Texas at Tyler, and a 2022 graduate from the University of Texas at Arlington, receiving a BFA in studio arts with a concentration in painting. While at the university, I was a student-athlete, being part of the cheerleading team for three years and competing with them twice. I am a Texas native currently living and working in the East Texas/DFW area. When I started college, I was a kid just going through the motions. Then I had a professor who I connected with, and they helped me discover the path I would like to take in my life. I want to teach art in college and help people how this teacher helped me. I believe that everyone is an artist and that in its most basic form, art is a form of communication and can help us understand ourselves better. While I concentrated on painting for my degree, I work mostly in watercolor. I am also knowledgeable in drawing and sculpture.
