About Me

I have spent the past three years acquiring a Master's in Recording Arts and Technologies from Middle Tennessee State University in order to help students just like you learn the art, science, and skill of audio engineering. I have 10 years proven success as an award-winning studio engineer, producer, and post-production engineer with a continually expanding client list. In addition, I have 6 years teaching experience and 14 as a professional drummer. I am an undergraduate and graduate instructor of music mixing, audio recording, music production, and audio post-production at MTSU. My research focuses on effective teaching methods for music mixing instruction targeting diverse students and using experiential learning theory and practice. I aim to inspire intrinsic motivation in my students while using real-world learning situations and practical experiential learning techniques. I also have extensive experience as a professional drummer and drum instructor. I'm featured on dozens of outstanding recordings with over a hundred live performances ranging from music festivals to high-profile venues. For 3 years, I taught drumming and general music throughout Oregon through Ethos Music Center.
