About Me

As an experienced educator with a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University, with teaching certifications in ELA from Early Childhood to HS, I have dedicated over ten years to teaching and tutoring English Language Arts, including ACT preparation and reading intervention for middle and high school students. My teaching philosophy centers on building strong relationships with my students, as I believe that trust and understanding are foundational to effective learning. I strive to make lessons engaging by connecting literary concepts to real-life experiences, equipping students with not only academic skills but also essential life skills such as organization and goal-setting. My passion for literature and art enriches my teaching approach, allowing me to inspire students to discover their own interests in these subjects.
