I received a BA in Education and English, with a concentration in ESL at Calvin College, and a MA as a Reading Specialist from Central Michigan University. For the past 25 years, I have successfully taught students in Grades K-8 in a public school setting, as well as supporting high school students as they work toward English literacy and/or fluency. My belief is that students deserve to have a caring, well-educated adult to support them as they study and grow educationally, and I have had the honor of having developed great teacher-student relationships.

Hiking, canoeing, playing fetch with my dog, reading, quilting, cross country skiing, cheering on my children at their sporting events, volunteering with exchange students, drinking hot coco, and tutoring online.
