I completed my M.S. in Mechanical Engineering at MIT in 2024. As a graduate student, I was a Teaching Assistant for Thermal Fluids Engineering courses (combined Heat Transfer, Thermodynamics, and Fluid Mechanics course) for college upperclassmen in mechanical engineering and advanced manufacturing courses for undergraduate and graduate students across disciplines at MIT. I completed my B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin, during which I worked part-time tutoring high school students in physics, math and mechanical engineering and helped them with test preparation skills for the ACT and SAT. The primary subjects I teach are Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, Physics: Mechanics, and various math subjects including Pre-Calculus, Trigonometry, Geometry and Algebra. My teaching philosophy centers on fostering a supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore complex concepts. My sessions focus on (1) understanding a student's current understanding of a concept, (2) identifying gaps, and (3) bridging those gaps with explanations, examples, and analogies. I believe in adapting my approach to meet individual learning styles, ensuring that each student can grasp challenging material effectively. I am motivated by the joy of seeing my students succeed and gain confidence in their abilities! Outside of tutoring, I work as a Mechanical Engineer for an EPC in Houston, Texas. I recently passed the FE exam and received my Engineer In Training Certificate.

I love water sports and crafting! Right now I'm learning to surf, previously I've done sailing, swimming, wake-surfing, and water skiing. My creative hobbies include quilting and sewing, singing and playing guitar, and generally making things! I love hanging with my dog, she's an Australian shepherd-poodle mix and we go hiking and camping together.
