Grace
- Hi! My name is Grace.
- I graduated from Texas State University with degrees in Psychology, Studio Art, and Honors Studies.
About Me
I currently teach and write curriculum for geography and social studies for grades 3-8 at a local private school (arguably the most fun subjects). Being around students truly fills my cup. I teach for the love of it while I save to pursue my master's degree in occupational therapy. Before entering the classroom, I worked as an advocate and community skills teacher for adults with disabilities. That experience shaped one of my greatest strengths as an educator: adapting to each learner's needs so they feel valued, capable, and included. I believe one of the biggest challenges in education today is helping students discover what sparks joy and curiosity for them. As a tutor, my goal is to reignite those flames! This means building confidence, fostering genuine interest, and helping students feel excited about learning again.
Hobbies & Interests
When I'm not volunteering as an art teacher for adults with disabilities, you can find me crocheting a hat for my friends' cats, making and eating breakfast food, doing anything outside with my dog, traveling and meeting new people, or in a hammock with a good book.
