I have spent the better part of fifteen years working inside higher education first as an admissions and enrollment professional across a range of institutions, from large R1 research universities to small private colleges and Hidden Ivy-caliber schools, and later as a consultant and strategic partner to colleges and universities navigating the increasingly complex world of student recruitment. I've worked across both undergraduate and graduate admissions including MBA programs shaped recruitment strategy, and worked with prospective students and families at some of the most consequential moments of their lives. I understand what admissions officers are actually looking for not as a theory, but as someone who has lived it. What I've found, in every role and at every institution, is that the students who stand out in the process are almost never the ones with the most impressive rsums. They're the ones who have learned to tell their story honestly and specifically who they are, how they think, and what they're reaching toward. That's a skill that can be taught, and it's one I'm passionate about developing in the students I work with. My approach to essay coaching is direct and collaborative. I ask hard questions. I push students past the safe, generic drafts toward something that actually sounds like them. And I bring to every session a genuine understanding of what's waiting on the other end of that application the reader, the committee, the decision because I've been in that room. I'm excited to bring this experience to Varsity Tutors and to the students who are ready to do the real work of finding their voice.

Outside of work, I'm an avid reader and home baker, and I love to travel and explore new places whenever I can. I'm happiest when I'm spending time with the people I care about — and, at home, with my two cats, Mac and Murphy, who are excellent company and will likely make a cameo in our conversations!
