About Me

My name is Corlene. I tutor electrical engineering, computer science, mathematics from high school to graduate level. I focus on student-led instruction, where I work with you to find the gaps in your understanding and to focus directly on problems that will benefit you the most. I also focus on intuitive and visual explanations for high-level scientific and mathematical concepts, and find it especially important for more abstract concepts to creatively explain topics to build an intuitive understanding before focusing on the underlying math. As for my background, I have worked part-time as a teacher's assistant or tutor for high school to graduate level classes for 4 years, and have taught calculus, data structures, signal processing, programming languages, concurrency, and algorithms formally. I have a master's degree in electrical and computer engineering and a bachelor's degree with a double major in electrical engineering and computer science.
