About Me

Hi, I'm Aaliyah! I hold a Master in International Affairs from Columbia University and a Bachelor in Political Science from Arizona State University, and my path through the International Baccalaureate program in high school is a big part of why I love teaching - I know firsthand how demanding these subjects can be. I taught World History at the high school level and worked as a teaching assistant in graduate school, so I'm comfortable meeting students wherever they are. My expertise spans the humanities and social science - history, social studies, economics, politics, geography, and college essay writing. Whether you're just getting started or pushing toward an advanced level, I'll work with you at your pace. What I care about most is helping ideas make sense - not just memorizing facts, but understanding how things connect and why they matter.
