10+ years of tutoring
Ibrahim
- I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Astrophysics from Arizona State University.
- I absolutely love astronomy, math, and physics-the underlying fundamentals behind astrophysics.
About Me
I have been tutoring these subjects since my junior year in high school (over 5 years!). In my last two semesters at ASU I taught astronomy labs to undergraduate students from all sorts of majors. The astronomy courses contained a significant amount of math which had to be taught as well. This helped me become a more effective tutor because it allowed me to expand my teaching experience. I believe you can never fully understand a subject until you can teach it so through tutoring, I am able to assist the student in learning the material while solidifying my own knowledge. The most important part of my lesson plan is to make learning enjoyable. A tutor must be able to quickly identify the learning style of the student so the lesson can be modified to their style. Apart from tutoring, my hobbies and interests include observing planets and galaxies with my 10" Meade telescope, playing soccer locally with family and friends, and going to the gym! It's a great way for me to stay healthy physically and mentally!
