I am a certified English teacher (grades 7-12). I am passionate about learning and reading, and I am eager to help students with any aspect of Language Arts. I majored in English at Vassar College and am currently earning my M.A. in English at Middlebury’s Bread Loaf School of English. I have student taught 9th grade English, and I have tutored many different middle and high school students. I am well versed in all aspects of the English curriculum. I believe that education should be stimulating and engaging. I am enthusiastic about teaching material in new and interesting ways. I look forward to helping your student become excited about learning too! I also believe that developing a trusting interpersonal relationship is crucial. During my experiences tutoring and teaching, I learned that when I connect what the student is learning to his or her life and experiences, I could help forge a deeper and more lasting understanding of the material.
