As a certified 7-12 English instructor, I have a plethora of experiences which qualify me to tutor/teach students. As an intern, I voluntarily substituted for junior and senior classes for six weeks. I student taught five sophomore classes for thirteen weeks. I also was a long term substitute for three months teaching five classes of juniors. Currently, I am a sixth grade language arts long term substitute, a different world from high school, but nonetheless rewarding. In addition to my classroom experiences, I also taught GED English prep for a year, and am currently the after school site coordinator for an elementary school. Together, I have varied experiences working with students grades K-12, and am dedicated to offering the exceptional learning opportunities all students deserve. I believe that no student is unteachable with the right teacher. Thankfully, I am used to wearing many hats, and I work hard to be the “right teacher” for every student I encounter.

My interests and hobbies are reading, writing, hiking, running, scrap-booking, and volunteer work.
