About Me

I believe every student is capable of success. My job as a tutor is to build foundations and develop strategies that ensure that success. I work with K-8 students developing skills, strategies, and knowledge that will help them become independent learners. My focus as a tutor is to help my students understand the concepts behind a skill. I believe that when you really understand how or why something works, you will never forget that skill. I enjoy tutoring a variety of subjects, but my favorites are writing and math. I see them both as opportunities to build creativity and problem solving skills, which I believe are essential to success throughout life.
