I doubled majored in Advertising and English Literature and minored in Fine Arts. While studying at UM, I participated in a Study Abroad program and spent a semester in Prague, Czech Republic. The time I spent abroad sparked a desire to travel and study other cultures. This was my first exposure to tutoring students in English. Since graduation, I have spent time working as a substitute teacher and received my TESOL certification to teach English abroad. While I tutor a range of subjects including elementary and middle school math and test preparation, I am passionate about reading, writing, and editing. I strongly believe that the ability to communicate clearly is one of the most important skills any student can learn. I also believe there are many ways to approach a problem, whether in math or writing or study skills, and look forward to finding creative approaches with my students and building upon past sessions to create a solid foundation for future learning. Outside of education, I enjoy sewing and crafting, art, exercising, and reading.
