About Me

I graduated summa cum laude from Georgetown University in May 2014, valedictorian of Georgetown College, with a BA in Psychology and minors in Art History and Business Administration. I have extensive tutoring and teaching experience. In high school I tutored middle school and high school students in Algebra, Geometry, French, Biology, History, and English. As a Peer Leader during my senior year of high school, I served as a student teacher in a sophomore health class, working with two of my peers to create and deliver about 60 full lessons. At Georgetown, I became a teaching assistant for a General Psychology survey course. In my role as an honors research assistant at a psychology laboratory on campus, I also helped to train incoming research assistant in laboratory procedures and study design. At Varsity, I tutor Algebra, Geometry, AP-level Statistics, as well as AB and IB-level Psychology. I am an empathetic tutor, as I strongly believe that subject matter expertise must be combined with a true understanding of a student’s learning style, strengths, weaknesses, and confidence level in order to create an effective learning environment.
