Throughout my studies I tutored, taught labs, and taught problem solving sessions. In addition I worked as a substitute teacher during a break between undergrad and grad school. My experience with teaching ran the gamut of student types and situations and I enjoyed the challenge of adapting to the learning needs of each different case. Outside of school I have engaged in a variety of hobbies and skill building. My current hobby of choice is painting. The process of learning engages me and experiencing many things has created new opportunities to connect with and understand others. I use these experiences when teaching to find overlaps with the student that open avenues of explanation and improve the experience.
