I also have been working with children for over twenty years, I have worked in many different positions that allowed me the opportunity to gain valuable experience working with children and teens of all ages. Some of those jobs include; babysitting, life guarding at a summer camp (teaching swimming lessons), travel summer camp counselor, Preschool teacher, coaching cheerleading, privately tutoring, as well as tutoring with agencies. My experience tutoring is over five years. I have worked with students in Kindergarten through 12th grade, in all subjects (including ELA, Math, Art, and everything in between). I love coming up with new and fun ways to help a student learn a challenging topic or strategy. I am a very creative person and love creating manipulatives and differentiations for my students that are based on their own learning style (whether it is visual, kinesthetic, etc.) I am currently a Teaching Assistant in a 12:1:1 setting and I volunteer my free time to my High School Varsity Cheerleading team coaching. Lastly I am Red Cross certified in CPR, AED, and First Aid. I look forward to helping your child become a successful lifelong learner who finds the joy in learning.
