- During undergraduate studies, I worked as a tutor for the university's athletics department.
- Working with so many students from different backgrounds and learning styles was challenging but rewarding.
About Me
I am an Honor's College graduate of the University at Buffalo where I received a dual Bachelor's of Arts degree in Biological Sciences and Anthropology. I tutored 10-15 students twice a week in subjects varying from Biology (Evolutionary, Cellular, Microbiology), to Anatomy & Physiology to Psychology. I am currently studying for my Medical School Admissions exam, which requires me to master all of the information covered in the above listed classes. I have garnered an arsenal of teaching techniques which allows me to individualize the way I present course material to each of my students. I find that life science classes are my favorite to teach because their applicability to the real world makes for fun and interesting tutoring sessions. In my spare time, I am an advocate for social justice. I have founded two non-profits at my university; one which focuses on implementing public health infrastructure in low-income countries and one that focuses on building schools with the hopes of creating access to free quality education in rural areas of developing nations. Additionally, I work as lifeguard, swim instructor, and swim coach at my local recreation facility.
