I believe that everybody is capable to learn a foreign language. I am passionate about teaching German, the language and the culture. I have a strong desire to help students to reach their fullest potential. I am adaptable to different needs and skill levels, I don't think 'one size fits all' methods are much help. A student-centered approach seems most useful and effective. I am an experienced tutor and native speaker from Vienna, Austria. I started tutoring more than ten years ago, when both our sons were little. I have worked with young children, school-aged children and adults and I am always trying to incorporate materials that are relevant for my clients. Besides language learning materials I used literature, magazines, cook books, opera, audio-books, dvds and nursery rhymes for the youngest ones. I am known to be very patient and intuitively get a feeling if clients truely understand concepts. I gladly reapeat difficult concepts to foster a better understanding. I am a graduate of the School of Social Work, Vienna, Austria. I always loved traveling, learning foreign languages and cultures. I live in Chicago since 1999. Currently I am persuing a masters degree in social work at Erikson Institute, Chicago.
