My experience at Fordham demonstrated firsthand the value education has in helping people understand difficult concepts and grasp the connections between ideas from different academic subjects. As a tutor, I strive to help students attain comprehension and learn how to approach subjects that may seem daunting at first. During my time as an undergraduate, I volunteered as a tutor for middle school students as part of a joint athletic and academic after school program. I am most passionate about helping people learn history, social sciences, and mathematics. I also assist with standardized test prep, primarily with the Reading and Writing sections of the exams. In my spare time, I enjoy photography, hiking and other outdoor activities, and reading about philosophy, evolutionary biology, and human history.
