My tutoring expertise lies in GRE test prep, math and science. My academic achievements in these subjects allowed me to earn a full ride scholarship during my undergraduate studies and a graduate study scholarship at Stanford University. I have tutored middle school and high school students in mathematics and science. Through tutoring, I have developed a number of unique teaching styles that tailor to all different types of students. I provide quick tips and tricks to make problem solving more effective. My approach to tutoring is very simple. I first understand a student's goals and objectives, gauge his/her strengths and weakness before I begin tutoring lessons. Beyond teaching the content, I will also impart studying skills and test-taking techniques to help my students perform better on their exams. I personally enjoy making challenging concepts simple, and I am good at helping people find their own learning style. My philosophy is that there's always a way for each person to learn the necessary material to achieve their goals, and it's my job to find the way each student learns best and reinforce understanding through active-learning.
