I believe strongly in the rewards and benefits of lifelong learning. I put this principle into practice by successfully completing a PhD in modern European history and by participating in educational pastimes, such as serving as a volunteer with my local historical societies. As a teacher I encourage and support the academic goals of all curious or hesitant learners. Pupils who begin to work with me can expect to enjoy their courses of study and to develop a love of learning. Whether working with students in elementary school or with college undergraduates, I always strive to make learning dynamic, vibrant and welcoming. My aim is to ensure that all students develop a confident mastery and an appreciation of their subject. Students will become eager to learn and they will carry this value with them throughout their academic life.

I love to travel and study history all over the country and around the world. I am a huge fan of film, theater, art, music, architecture and literature. I have also been collecting antiques, stamps, comic books, bottles and seashells for over thirty years.
