About Me
I'm interested in one day becoming a doctor, but much of my work experience thus far has led me to education: working as a Spanish teaching assistant while at Bowdoin, as Education Coordinator for a middle school healthy dating curriculum in an office of the Puerto Rico Department of Health, and as a community health worker providing health education Spanish-speaking migrant farm workers, among others. I've found that effective, individual-focused education is an important component of overall health, and I hope my continued teaching experience will better inform my practice as a future physician. I have tutored in anything from math and Spanish to general homework help, and have a knack for helping students better organize themselves in ways that support their unique style of learning. Aside from my academic interests, I also really love being outdoors, practicing yoga, dancing, and cooking. Recently I've started baking bread, and if you're lucky there may be an extra loaf around our tutoring sessions!
