- Between schools and since, I have tried to find personal time to continuing my studies and keeping my skills fresh by translating new works.
About Me
I am a graduate of both Trinity University, where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Latin, and Brandeis University, where I received my Master of Arts in Ancient Greek and Roman Studies. I have worked with Shelby County Schools as a classroom teacher of Etymology but have found that I thrive much better when working one-on-one with students. I tutor Latin at all levels, with the hope that my students, regardless of their starting skill level, can learn to see the beauty and nuance of the language they are studying. I believe in education as a tool for personal enrichment, and especially the study of foreign languages as a way to understand different ways on thinking and talking about a subject as a means of deeper understanding of that subject. In my spare time, I enjoying reading, learning more about languages (even those I will likely never learn to speak), and cooking.
