I have a bachelor's in music education from Miami University and a master's in educational leadership from Santa Clara University. I taught music in the classroom for ten years; I have taught prek-12th grade general music, orchestra, and a variety of other musical ensembles. I am a full-time performing musician touring the US playing guitar and performing my own original music. I am a history buff and enjoy teaching students about the past in a way that helps them relate to those people, even through the centuries. I also have training in social emotional learning from Sanford Harmony and enjoy working with students of all ages to develop strategies to work with their emotions, including through gentle movement like yoga. I am neurodivergent myself and work well with neurodivergent students of all ages; I enjoy helping students discover the strategies that work to help them achieve their goals.
