I have 2 children, ages 11 and 8. I have volunteered in their classrooms for the past 5 years. I have read children's storybooks to the class and helped the kids with arts and crafts and projects. I love it and I'm happiest with kids! I feel a sense of accomplishment when I see the light in their eyes and make them happy. I love to color, draw, read poetry, and even learn about the weather patterns! I would love to teach students these various topics, but best of all, I enjoy tutoring English. I love teaching elementary school topics and seeing children progress when they're very young. It provides a sense of accomplishment. As a child, I used to use my favorite reading books to trace their covers such as The Berenstain Bears. I started in elementary school as early as age 8, and still enjoy drawing very much. For the past year, I have been teaching Language Arts, Reading Comprehension, Grammar, and Writing online and I would love to continue teaching it on Varsity Tutors. In middle school, I loved learning about America's states and capitals. At a young age, I also have written poetry just for fun. I would love to show children their hidden talents through writing and expressing their thoughts. Great teachers are patient, friendly, challenging, and make sure the kids are having fun! Those lessons include phonics, math, free talk, science, sight words, sentence patterns, and grammar. I have the International Open Academy's 120 hour TESOL Certificate, as well as the 120 hour TEFL Fullcircle Certificate. I also have a Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Management and Education from Thomas Edison State College in New Jersey, USA, and a license to practice Nuclear Medicine Technology from the Univ of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ.
