I am an English teacher in NYC with four years of experience and I specialize in writing and text analysis skills for middle and early high school students. I'm passionate about helping young people build their confidence in ELA so that they can find their voice and advocate for themselves as engaged learners. In addition to classroom teaching, I've spent years as an ESL tutor, Big Sister with Big Brother and Big Sisters of America, a camp counselor, and creative writing instructor. When I'm not teaching, I like to ride my bike around the city, bake sweet treats, and swim in the ocean all year round with my family!

I am an avid cyclist, baker, and reader. I particularly enjoy mystery and science fiction novels by authors like Agatha Christie, Donna Tartt, Andy Weir, and Toni Morrison. I'm learning to speak French and bake french desserts for my friends!
