I have experience working as a college admissions essay teacher with a diverse group of Ivy League-bound high school students. I also taught high school and undergraduate students in multi-genre creative writing. I received my BA from Wheaton College in English and my MFA from the Iowa Writers' Workshop in poetry and literary translation. My favorite subjects to tutor are college personal statements and creative writing because both require students to reflect on their lives and experiences. I believe in personalized, equitable education, promoting creativity. I often assign readings and curriculum with BIPOC and Queer representation. When I'm not tutoring, I am often writing poetry, playing soccer, or traveling with friends.
