I attained my Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the HBCU Fisk University and my Master's degree in Early Childhood Education from Kent State University. I am most passionate about the subject of reading. Everything flows from reading; we can read for fun, to conduct a science experiment, and to solve a math problem. Teaching is enjoyable when you know the student understands a skill on which you have been working. Children are fascinating; their curiosity and natural sense of wonder is a joy to experience. It is very rewarding to start where a child is in their learning journey and watch them grow as they gain understanding. Working with children makes us all lifelong learners.
