About Me

My goal as an educator has always been to acknowledge what my students know, and then give them tools to help them learn what they don't know. I graduated from A.C.U. in 1986 and retired in 2019. I have taught all ages and subjects. I am an Academic Language Therapist specializing in working with students with Dyslexia. In my last teaching assignment, I taught Theatre Arts to Middle School students. I helped these students produce one-act plays for competition and to perform Musicals. I love words and stories, which means I am very passionate about all things reading. Working with students through Varsity Tutors has been very rewarding. Getting to work with students of all ages who live in all parts of the nation is challenging but well worth the challenges, especially the challenge of navigating the different time zones! I look forward to the journey of learning new things alongside my students.
