- I am a graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and Liberty University and currently work at IU Health as a pediatric staff chaplain.
About Me
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Cal Poly and a Master of Divinity from Liberty. Throughout university, graduate school, and beyond, I tutored students in various subjects, focusing mostly on SAT and ACT test prep. While I have tutored students in test prep, sciences, math, and English, my favorite subject to tutor is study skills. I have found that every one of my students has benefitted from spending at least some time addressing study skills and organization so that they can maximize their academic potential. When my students have begun to gain some confidence in this area, they begin to gain confidence overall, which I love to see. As with chaplaincy, my approach to tutoring is to meet people where they are and help them identify skills and gifts within them to help them succeed. When my students struggle in an area, we work at that area at their pace until they understand the concept. My focus is to meet them where they are (rather than spending time worrying about how they got there), so I can help them achieve the most they can with the time we have.
Hobbies & Interests
Outside of academia, I love spending time with friends and with my husband and my cat, Pickles. I also love photography, painting, baking, CrossFit, and reading.
